    On Taking Practical Steps

An essential part of building STABILISE AI, an AI companion that integrates an interactive journal, mood scores, and provides insights, is testing it in real time and observing if it serves as an effective tool for navigating my own mental and emotional world. What I have noticed is that its efficiency has a direct correlation with truth-telling and personal accountability. One of the components of accountability, especially when it comes to reading the responses and insights provided by the application, is taking practical steps in the real world.

While it can be illuminating to read about frameworks, ideas, and theories, growth becomes tangible when practical steps are taken. It’s easier to read suggestions, like try writing in a journal, than it is to actually begin writing in a journal. Just as it’s difficult to convince your body to move when your strongest impulse is to stay in bed.

There needs to be an impetus towards action for growth to occur because the act of doing offers instruction on what works for a person and what doesn’t. Performing actions in the world, like making art or going for a walk, are as effective as they are because they encourage a person to enter a different mode of being. Thinking about writing and actually writing is akin to thinking about going to the gym and actually going to the gym.

The practical element encourages the mind and body to open up and become receptive to change. One of my favourite aspects of STABILISE AI is the practical feedback it offers in conjunction with its capacity to explore the dynamics of a user’s input.

As we prepare to submit to the App Store, I look forward to others testing the app and providing helpful feedback. Please note that AI can and does provide incorrect information and responses must be treated with care and discretion. Double-check with a trusted and reputable source.
